Summer Programs

This summer, Walk on Water is offering four specialized summer programs running from June 1 through July 31, each designed to support growth, learning, and connection through hands-on, therapeutic, and enrichment-based experiences.

About our Summer Programs

Participants may enroll in horseback riding instruction focused on beginner and intermediate riding skills, emphasizing confidence, balance, and horsemanship in a safe and supportive environment. Riding camps will increase by level throughout the summer.

Our Art Enrichment Program offers guided instruction in creative expression, with a focus on developing line work and brush strokes, exploring color theory in nature, and learning how to transfer natural textures into two-dimensional artwork.

We are also proud to offer Certified Reading Enrichment Program through Reading Reins, a structured literacy-based program designed to strengthen reading skills and build confidence through evidence-based instruction.

In addition, our new VPKSIS program, led by a licensed Occupational Therapist, provides personalized, developmentally supportive interaction with the ranch environment and horses, promoting sensory integration, motor planning, and functional engagement.

Horseback Riding Level 1: Beginner Program

Ages: 5-12
Dates: June 1 – 5, 2026
Time: 8:30 – 12:45*
Cost: $325 per rider

Horseback Riding Level 2: Walk-Trot Beginner Program

Horseback Riding Level 4: Canter Riding Program

Ages: 9-15
Dates: July 13-17, 2026
Time: 8:30 – 12:45*

Designed for riders who are already cantering or ready to begin cantering. Each day begins with Bible study and devotional time to kick off the day. Focused on refining skills, confidence, and independence in the saddle and on the ground with horses.

Art Enrichment Summer Program

Ages: 6 – Adult
Dates: June 8–12 and July 20–24, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Cost: $250 per participant 

Walk on Water’s Art Enrichment Classes provide a creative, hands-on experience designed to nurture artistic growth, confidence, and self-expression in a supportive and engaging environment. These classes are open to children, teens, and adults of all skill levels.

Participants will explore a wide range of artistic media, including watercolor, pen and ink, acrylic painting on canvas, junk journaling, diamond dots, and clay sculpting. Each medium is introduced through guided instruction and adapted to meet individual ability levels.

Instruction focuses on foundational and expressive art skills, including:

  • Line work and brush strokes to build control, movement, and visual storytelling
  • Color theory in nature, helping participants observe and translate natural color relationships into their artwork
  • Texture transfer from nature to 2D art, teaching students how to interpret and recreate natural textures through layered and mixed-media techniques
Classes emphasize step-by-step, personalized instruction while encouraging creativity, experimentation, and self-discovery. Hands-on projects are designed to foster artistic confidence and joy in the creative process.
 
All projects are completed during class and may be taken home. Each participant will also receive a take-home supply goodie bag.
